The John Jordan Foundation has established a $2,500 scholarship that will be awarded to a Sonoma County student for the study of agriculture, preferably in the field of viticulture and enology. The John Jordan Foundation Scholarship will be administered by the Farm Bureau Foundation of Sonoma County, a 501 c (3) charitable organization for agricultural education. The Farm Bureau Foundation’s mission is to encourage – and financially assist – young people for rewarding careers in agriculture and the wine industry. There are 43 agriculture students applying for the more than $45,000 in scholarships offered by the Farm Bureau Foundation this year. The John Jordan Foundation Scholarships is among the top scholarships offered to students attending a four-year university.
